Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026.
This policy explains what information ClipsKeep handles when you use the site, why, and what your rights are. The short version: there are no accounts, we don't keep the links you paste or the videos (a clip you cut stays on the server for at most 15 minutes, just so you can download it), and Google's ads may use cookies, with your consent where the law requires it.
Who is responsible
The person responsible for the site and for processing data (the data controller) is Edson Vasconcelos, an individual based in Brazil. He also acts as the data protection officer (called "encarregado" under article 41 of Brazil's data protection law, the LGPD). Contact: imvccl@gmail.com.
What data we handle and why
- The link you paste. It's used only to look up the video on Facebook and build the download options. It stays in the server's memory for up to 20 minutes so the download can work, and is then discarded. We don't keep a history of links and we don't write them to our logs.
- Clips you cut. When you use Cut a clip, the server writes the clip to a temporary file, only so you can download or send it. The file is deleted within 15 minutes and isn't linked to you.
- IP address. Used temporarily, in the server's memory, to limit the number of searches and downloads per minute and prevent abuse. It's never written to disk or linked to you.
- Technical error records. When something fails, the server records only the type of error (for example, "private video"), without the link and without anything that identifies you.
- Anti-bot check. When enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may analyse browser signals to tell people from bots, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We don't use visitor statistics tools (analytics) and we don't sell data.
Cookies
lang: remembers the language you picked in the language switcher, for one year. It's needed to remember your preference.- Advertising cookies: the site shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's ad settings at https://adssettings.google.com, and learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ads only use cookies after you consent, through a Google-certified consent message. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link shown in that message.
Who data is shared with
- The hosting provider where the site's server runs.
- Google, to show ads, as described above.
- Cloudflare, when used to protect the site or for the anti-bot check.
- Facebook, which receives the server's requests to fetch the public video and pass the file on. The one exception is the thumbnail shown in the search result: your browser loads that image directly from Facebook's servers, which therefore see your IP address, just as when you view any Facebook image.
Your rights
Under the LGPD (Brazilian Law 13,709/2018), you can ask us to confirm whether we process your data, and for access, correction, anonymisation, deletion, information about sharing and withdrawal of consent. If you're in the European Union, you have equivalent rights under the GDPR. Because the site keeps no accounts or history, in practice there's almost never any data stored about you, but we'll answer any request sent to imvccl@gmail.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site isn't aimed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect children's data.
