Copyright and video removal
ClipsKeep doesn't host videos. The files live on Facebook's servers and pass through our server only at the moment of download. Even so, we take creators' rights seriously: if you made a video and don't want it to be downloadable from here, we'll block it.
How to request a block
Email imvccl@gmail.com with the subject "Video removal" and the following:
- The video's link on Facebook. You can include more than one, one per line.
- Who you are in relation to the video. For example: the creator, the owner of the Page that posted it or an authorised representative.
- How to verify it. A simple way is to post a comment or a temporary post containing a code we'll send in our reply, or to send the link to the official Page with a contact who can confirm the request.
- A statement that the information is true and that you have the right to make the request.
What happens next
- We reply within 5 business days.
- Once ownership is confirmed, the video's identifier goes onto our block list. From then on, anyone who pastes that link on the site sees a notice that the creator asked for the video not to be available.
- The block applies to all three language versions of the site and doesn't require anything from you on Facebook.
If someone else posted your video without permission
A block here stops downloads through ClipsKeep, but the video stays on Facebook. To get the content taken down, also use Facebook's own copyright reporting tool, since Facebook is where the file is hosted.
False requests
Requests made on someone else's behalf or with false information will be refused. We may ask for more proof when ownership is unclear.
Respect the people who create
If you use the site to download videos, remember that the creator still owns the content. Keep it to watch, send it to someone close, but don't repost it as your own or use it commercially without permission. The terms of use set out the full rules.
